It was really fun to make this cake a few weeks ago. The couple, Whitney and Kevin, met at a Halloween party- he was dressed as Indiana Jones, and she was dressed as a 1920's flapper girl. In the spirit of making a fun and unusual groom's cake, we suggested incorporating elements of their costumes into their cake.
Inside the cake was gluten free red velvet cake with chocolate and vanilla buttercreams, and gluten free chocolate brownie cake with chocolate buttercream. Surrounding the hat and dress are a fondant bullwhip with weaved strips around the handle and a fondant flapper sequined headband with a real feather to accent it. We were so happy to get this email from the groom a few days after the wedding:"Hi! You may hear from my new wife, Whitney, but I just wanted to reach out myself to thank you again for how amazing the Indiana Jones Hat and Flapper Dress was!!!! It was incredible and as I imagined, it stole the show. And it was absolutely delicious too! You guys are truly fantastic artists, and we will recommend you to anyone who wants to listen or see the pictures. Thanks again for contributing to our wedding experience!!! -Kevin"
